Susie Herb, MSW, LCSW

I have been providing psychotherapy services to individuals and couples since 1992  After many years in private practice I was trained by Sue Othmer in the Othmer Neurofeedback Method and have been utilizing neurofeedback as a primary intervention with my clients since 2011. I believe that by helping the brain achieve greater balance and flexibility, clients' lives can be drastically improved.

What is Neurofeedback?
Neurofeedback is a gradual learning process for the brain. Also called EEG Biofeedback, neurofeedback is the direct training of the brain. It allows the brain to learn to function more effectively. The biofeedback is provided in response to the brainwaves observed by the electroencephalogram, or EEG. We observe the brain waves in real-time and then show the brain its own activity, the brain is then rewarded for changing its own activity to more favorable patterns.
